Frequently Asked Questions:

What if I’m not ready to leave my child?

You are welcome to do one of two things. You can either bring your child to small group/ service with you or observe their small group/ Children’s church  with them, Parents who observe children’s classes will not be allowed to help with other children away from teacher supervision as that is against our protection policy.

What safety procedures does your church abide by to keep children safe?

We have a protection policy that all workers and volunteers are trained by and must abide by in order to serve. You may request to read the entire document but it covers who can serve, requires a background check, explains how to supervise restrooms, requires two adults in a classroom, and open door or a window available for those walking by to see in.

What if my child has special needs?

We believe that all children are made in the image of God. We want to make your child’s visit as successful as possible. We have buddies who are available if your child needs one on one care or modifications. We have sensory areas where children who are over stimulated can go to calm down with their buddy. If your child’s needs prevent them from being in the classroom with other children we do have people who are in sensory friendly room who will play with your child while you attend services.  If your child has special needs we ask that you let us know about your attendance so we can arrange a proper buddy for your child. You can do that by emailing children@newchapelhill.org or calling the church office.
